Student success statement
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless."
Mother Teresa
Reflection:
If you truly believe that you can achieve a goal, then go for it.
Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides help patients who are mentally, emotionally, or physically disabled adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to perform daily living and self-care skills. They work under the supervision of occupational therapists as part of a team with physicians, counselors, and physical therapists. Occupational therapy assistants work closely with patients to observe them, help them, and make reports to the occupational therapist on the patients' progress and development. Most occupational therapy assistants are employed at hospitals, and many work at nursing homes. Some work for schools for the handicapped. Occupational therapy assistants may also work in rehabilitation centers or at adult daycare centers.
